Tough Finish in the League Tournament for PS
Portage South entered the league tournament as the #3 seed and would host the Ohio Eagles.  PS was able to hold the Eagles for a 3-1 win and advance to the second round.  In the second round, the Black Squirrels would face the #2 seed, South Akron Kraken.  The Kraken won the game 3-1 and forced Portage South in the consolation bracket.  PS would face the strong offensive of the Akron Aces.  The Black Squirrels bats were up to the test and had an answer for all the Aces big innings.  They got the win 14-13.  Next up for the Squirrels was the Ohio Gamecocks.  This game was an instant classic with the game going 14 innings at 2 different fields.  In a heroic effort, Mike Darrah threw all 14 innings for PS.  Unfortunately he took the 4-3 loss and Portage South would end its season a 16-10 record.
